Claiming to have the lowest on-resistance while providing significant space savings compared to similar devices, the MIC94xxx family of smart-load switches and MOSFETs are available in the company's Teeny SC70-6 package. The MIC94060 and MIC94061 smart-load switches exhibit a typical on-resistance of 77 m? and a maximum on-resistance of 100 m?. Drawing 2 µA of quiescent current in the on state and 1 µA in shutdown, the devices can handle up to 2A of continuous current, with integrated level-shift circuitry allowing logical signals as low as 1.5V to drive the high-side MOSFET. The MIC94052 and MIC94053 simple, p-channel MOSFETS have a typical on-resistance of 70 m? and 84 m? maximum. With a small forward voltage drop, they can handle up to 2A of continuous current. The MIC94050 and MIC94051 four-terminal, p-channel MOSFETs feature a typical on resistance of 125 m? and 160 m? maximum. These devices are packaged in an SOT143-4 and the MIC94051 includes an internal gate-to-source pull-up resistor. The MIC94050 and MIC94051 are priced at $0.46 each/1,000; the MIC94052 and MIC94053 cost $0.38 each/1,000 and the MIC94060 and MIC94061 sell for $0.50 each/1,000. MICREL SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA.
