The PCM180x audio analog-to-digital converter (ADC) family supports the Direct Stream Digital (DSD) specification and the Super Audio CD format (SACD). The ADCs support high-end audio in home entertainment systems. Two 24-bit devices, the PCM1804 and the smaller PCM1802, have now been added to this ADC family.

The PCM1804 is a differential-input 24-bit ADC with a 192-kHz maximum sampling rate. It also features a 112-dB dynamic range and -102-dB THD+N. It contains a built-in anti-aliasing filter with -100-dB stop-band attenuation and ±0.005-dB passband ripple.

The ADC uses a dual-voltage power supply at 5-V analog and 3.3-V digital with ±2.5-V differential inputs. It features a selectable master/slave audio interface and system clock speeds of 128, 256, 512, and 786 fs.

The PCM1802 stereo ADC features a single-ended input. It also offers 24-bit sampling and a 96-kHz maximum sampling rate.

The PCM1804 is packaged in a 28-pin SSOP and costs $4.95. The PCM1802 is packaged in a 20-pin SSOP and costs $3.95. All pricing is for 1000-unit quantities.
