The SPF-3043, a dc to 10 GHz, low-noise gallium arsenide pHEMT component, claims to suitable for a wide range of low-noise amplifier applications in wireless-infrastructure equipment. The device has a noise figure of 0.25 dB at 1 GHz and 0.5 dB at 2 GHz. Gain ranges from 25 dB at 1 GHz to 22 dB at 2 GHz. Operating at 5V consuming 40 mA, it delivers an OIP3 of 32 dBm. For the lowest noise performance, it is recommended to bias the component at 3V/20 mA. Housed in a standard SOT-343 surface-mount package, price is $0.99 each/10,000.
