Toshiba's TB62727FN 16-bit, constant-current LED driver is designed for use in full-color LED displays. The device delivers 16 constant-current outputs from 2 mA to 50 mA with integrated dot-current correction for each channel. This function, in conjunction with the chip's internal d/a converter, allows for digital control of the output current from zero to 100%. Other features include a shift register latch, output-enable control, thermal shutdown, and output-open detection. Volume pricing is $0.95 each.
