The RMPA1959 is a high-performance linear RF power amplifier module for CDMA and CDMA2000-1X personal communications systems. It is fabricated in the company’s InGaP HBT technology. A two-stage power amplifier, it internally matches both input and output to 50Ω to minimize the need for external components and simplify power amplifier design. High/low power modes reduce current consumption during peak phone usage and optimize battery talk time. It comes in a 4 mm x 4 mm x 1.5 mm LCC package with industry-standards pinouts. The module meets CDMA2000-1XRTT performance requirements. Price is $1.07 each/100,000. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, South Portland, ME. (207) 775-8761.
