Debuting as the market's first digitally programmable, auto-zero amplifier, the AD8555 outfits strain-bridge and other sensors commonly used in automotive applications. The device integrates a full-range amplifier, comparator, resistor, trimpot, and buffer in a 4 mm x 4 mm CSP or SOIC package. Programming is achieved via a one-wire serial interface with a gain range from 70 to 1,280. Features include a maximum input offset voltage of 10 µV over temperature, maximum input offset drift of 50 nV/°C, and a common mode rejection of 96 dB.
