The MD1812 and the MD1813 high-speed, quad MOSFET drivers drive N- and P-channel MOSFETs in applications that require high output current for capacitive loads, particularly those found in ultrasound imaging. Both devices provide an auxiliary output driver with a level translator that employs a proprietary circuit to provide user-definable damping control for return-to-zero applications—users can determine the length of time the ICs stay at zero. Shared features include 6-ns rise and fall times when dealing with a 1,000 pF load, support for logic input signals of 1.2V to 5V, and peak output currents up to ±2A. Otherwise similar to the MD1812, the MD1813 supports differential input signals. Available in 16-lead, 4 mm x 4 mm x 0.9 mm QFN packages, prices for the RoHS-compliant MD1812K6-G and MD1813K6-G are $3.28 and $3.31 each/1,000, respectively. SUPERTEX INC., Sunnyvale, CA.
