Hailed for their low power consumption, the 8-bit ADC08L060 consumes 39 mW at 60 Msamples/s and the 5V, dual 12-bit ADC12D040 consumes 650 mW at 40 Msamples/s. The ADC08L060 scales power consumption with sample rate, allowing it to be used at any conversion rate between 10 and 60 Msamples/s while consuming power proportional to the speed. It has no clock duty cycle dependence from 5% to 91%, making it suitable for ultrasound imaging applications. The ADC12D040 features a 68 dB SNR and an 80 dB SFDR. The device also promises close channel matching and almost no crosstalk. The ADC08L060 in a 24-pin TSSOP and ADC12D040 in a 64-pin TQFP are priced at $3.00 and $17, respectively, each/1,000.
