According to the company, the ZXGD3000 Series bipolar gate drivers enable faster charging and discharging of gate capacitances than gate driver ICs, thereby delivering faster switching times and greater circuit efficiency for switching MOSFETs and IGBTs. The four non-inverting gate drivers in the series are available in six-lead SOT23 packages with a flow-through design that places inputs and outputs on opposite sides of the device. This approach forecasts simpler PCB layouts that minimize trace inductance. The devices operate with supply voltages from 12V to 40V and sinking currents up to 9A. An emitter-follower configuration achieves propagation delays of less than 2 ns and rise/fall times of approximately 10 ns. Other features include independent source and sink output pins that allow users to separately control gate rise/fall times. Pricing the ZXGD3000 Series is $0.30 each/1,000. ZETEX INC., Hauppauge, NY.
