Thanks to advances in material technology, the Generation 5 series bipolar transistors offer reductions in component resistance that in turn deliver a 30% gain in VCE(SAT) compared with previous generations. The initial series covers a voltage range from 20 V to 140 V in packages like the SOT-89, large-flag SOT-23, and SOT-223. The SOT-223 range includes four npn devices (25 to 100 V with IC up to 7 A) and four pnp types (30 to 140 V; IC up to 5.5 A). Prices start at $0.20 each in lots of 10,000. Delivery is in four to six weeks.
