Portable and battery-powered data acquisition products are among the primary applications targeted by a family of rail-to-rail op amps that combine high output drive and low power dissipation. Housed in a tiny, SOT-23 package, the op amps provide an low input bias current of just 2.5 pA and a high output drive of ±35 mA. The low-power, 600-µA per channel op amps are said to be particularly useful in systems with high impedance devices, such as sensors. The BiCMOS TLV247x op amp family includes single-, dual- and quad-channel devices with and without shutdown mode. The rail-to-rail devices can swing to within 30 mA of each supply while driving 2.5 mA loads. And they are fully specified at 3V and 5V.
