Housed in miniature packages, the dual MAX4491 and quad MAX4492 operational amplifiers feature a 10V/µs slew rate and are suited for applications demanding the smallest possible board area. Rail-to-rail inputs and outputs increase flexibility and dynamic range while simplifying circuit design for applications powered from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply. The devices achieve a 10-MHz bandwidth product while consuming only 800 µA of supply current per amp. Other features of the new op amps include a low 50-pA input bias current and a 2-kiloohm drive. And sample/hold and A/D converter pre-driver circuits benefit from a 300 pF capacitive load-driving capability. The dual MAX4491 is offered in both 8-pin SOT-23 and SO packages, whereas the quad MAX4492 comes in a space-saving 14-pin TSSOP package. Prices start at $0.22 each/100,000.
