Adding to the company's PA90 series power op amps, the PA97 operates on a supply voltage up to 900V and features a standby current of 600 µA. In addition to a ±50- to ±450-V supply, the device drives 10 mA of continuous output current and up to a 15-mA pulse into capacitive loads. External compensation allows users to choose bandwidth and slew rate based on the application.
Measuring about one inch in a Power SIP, the package's flat-back design and isolated case allows for direct mounting. With a power dissipation of 5W, it is claimed that internal power generation is so minimal that heatsinking will not be required.
The PA97 is priced at $37.40 each/100.
