Said to offer the industry's best performance under short-circuit conditions, the MIC2544 and MIC2548 are fully-protected, high-side MOSFET switches with accurate, user-adjustable current limiting. The single-channel switches are said to be ideal for power distribution applications in USB and ACPI designs, as well as in hot-swap applications. The ICs are available with an active-high or active-low enable, with MIC2548 also having a thermal shutdown output latch. The switches cost $1.24 each/1,000 in 8-pin SOPs and $1.38 in8-pin SOPs.
