Designed for applications requiring low voltage, low power, and a small form factor, the company’s second-generation WM8726 24-bit, 192 kHz stereo d/a converter operates at supply voltages down to 3V. The device is a pin-compatible upgrade to the WM8725 and targets cost-sensitive applications, such as digital TV, set-top boxes, home theater systems, and MP3, CD, and DVD players. Employing the company's multi-bit sigma delta architecture, the converter exhibits reduced sensitivity to clock jitter, a low out-of-band noise, and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 100 dB and a total harmonic distortion (THD) of -95 dB.
