With an eye on next generation writeable DVD and CD drives, the SP8051 photo detector features a 140 MHz bandwidth, slew rate of 350 V/µs, and a 70 dB PSRR with less than 5 mV of differential offset between channels. The device provides four data detection channels and four tracking channels. Other features include three selectable gain settings, two differential data summing outputs, a 5 mV output offset, 12 ns differential output settling time, 9 ns settling time, 1 ns group delay, and a 17 ns saturation recovery time.
