Self protected against excessive temperature, current, and voltage, as well as ESD, the BSP75G 60V, 550-m? n-channel MOSFET will also protect the load via internal current limiting. The device integrates a configurable component array with a vertical transistor on the same die. At a preset temperature of 175°C, it will shut down and an active 550-mJ clamp will turn the MOSFET off before entering avalanche breakdown. Other features include a current rating of 1.6A continuous and the ability to switch all types of resistive, inductive and capacitive loads. Additionally, the device can act as a microcontroller power switch in both 12V and 24V circuits. Price is $0.41 each/10,000. ZETEX INC., Hauppauge, NY. (631) 360-2222.
