DACs Deliver Wide Bandwidth In Small Package

April 6, 2004
In SOT-23 packages, the AD545x family of d/a converters provides bandwidths in excess of 10 MHz and resolutions up to 14 bits. The devices are manufactured with a sub-micron CMOS process that yields 0.25 LSB INL at eight bits and 0.5 LSB at 12 bits.

Each device in the family operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V power supply and can handle ±10V signals on their reference inputs. Other features include an operating temperature range of –40°C to +125°C and 3-wire serial ports that operate at clock rates up to 50 MHz. Prices for the AD5450 (8-bit), AD5451 (10-bit), AD5452 (12-bit) and AD5453 (14-bit) are $1.97, $2.61, $3.90, and $4.99 each/1,000, respectively. ANALOG DEVICES INC., Wilmington, MA. (800) 262-5643.
