Said to be optimized for low-power remote applications, the 12-bit LTC1861L and 16-bit LTC1865L draw 450 µA from a 3V supply at 150 ksamples/s. Available in either 10-pin MSOP or eight-pin SO packages, both devices include an automatic shutdown

Said to be optimized for low-power remote applications, the 12-bit LTC1861L and 16-bit LTC1865L draw 450 µA from a 3V supply at 150 ksamples/s. Available in either 10-pin MSOP or eight-pin SO packages, both devices include an automatic shutdown mode that reduces current consumption between conversions to 3 µA at 1 ksamples/s. Other features include two multiplexed channels or one true differential channel and SPI and Microwire-compatible I/O. The converters handle SPI I/O clock rates from dc to 8 MHz, promising ease of connection to slow, isolated, or remote designs and to faster processor serial ports. Additionally, they are pin compatible with each other and available in commercial and industrial temperature ranges. Pricing begins at $2.75 each/1,000. LINEAR TECHNOLOGY CORP., Milpitas, CA.
