Introduced as the first a/d converter to break the eight effective number of bits (ENOB) barrier, the 10-bit AT84AS003TP delivers sampling rates up to 1.5 Gsamples/s. The converter specifies an analog-input bandwidth of 3 GHz, allowing it to operate

Introduced as the first a/d converter to break the eight effective number of bits (ENOB) barrier, the 10-bit AT84AS003TP delivers sampling rates up to 1.5 Gsamples/s. The converter specifies an analog-input bandwidth of 3 GHz, allowing it to operate in the second Nyquist zone with input frequencies up to 1.5 GHz. Additional features include a SFDR of 58 dB at 1.5 Gsamples/s, simultaneous or staggered output, gain adjust, sampling-delay adjust, built-in self test, and a selectable 1:2 or 1:4 demultiplexer for direct interfacing with standard LVDS-compatible FPGAs. Sampling now, the device comes in an EBGA317 package. ATMEL CORP., San Jose, CA. (408) 441-0311.
