\[July 13, 2006\] Poised for deployment in high-speed data-acquisition (DAQ) systems, the ADSD-1410S a/d converter delivers a sampling rate of 10 Msamples/s with a 14-bit resolution. In a 40-pin, triple-wide surface-mount DIP, the component is available with standard and military-grade temperature ranges. For time and frequency domain applications, the converter supports a ±2.5V input range. It includes two fast-settling sample/hold amplifiers, two 14-bit a/d converters, multiplexed output buffers, precision reference, edge triggering, and all the necessary timing and control logic to operate from either a single-start pulse or two convert pulses. Other features include a SNR of 76 dB and a THD of –83 dB. Price is approximately $300 each/100. C&D TECHNOLOGIES INC., Mansfield, MA. (508) 339-3000.
