Delivering no-missing-code performance over its full operating temperature range, the dual-channel ADSD-1402S a/d converter is available in commercial and military temperature ranges and provides rates up to 2 Msamples/s with a 14-bit resolution. It features edge-triggered operation with no pipeline delays. The device is based on a proprietary gate array and a design that optimizes signal return paths and provides internal, local decoupling. This results in a typical noise-level spec of 250 µVRMS and a SNR of 80 dB. Other features include a THD of -80 dB, two sample/hold amplifiers, multiplexed output buffers, a precision reference, ±5V operation, and a power consumption of 600 mW. Pricing for commercial and military temperature range devices are $195 and $254 each/100, respectively. C&D TECHNOLOGIES INC., Mansfield, MA. (800) 233-2765.
