Maximizing efficiency and power density by optimizing conduction, switching, and body-diode losses, the lead-free IRF7823PbF and IRF7832ZPbF MOSFET duo delivers up to 2% higher light-load efficiency over configurations employing 30V MOSFETs. They are designed for use as a chipset in 2-phase synchronous buck converter circuits requiring one control and two synchronous MOSFETs per phase and are also suitable for PWM-controlled buck converter applications. The IRF7823PbF is an optimized control FET with gate and gate-to-drain charges of 9.1 nC and 3.2 nC, respectively. The 12A IRF7832ZPbF has been optimized for the synchronous FET function with a typical 4.5V on-resistance of 3.7 mΩ. Prices for the IRF7823PbF and the IRF7832ZPbF are $0.50 and $0.88 each/10,000, respectively. For more information, contact Wayne Yoshida at INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER, El Segundo, CA.(310) 252-7726.
