Targeting applications that require 6 kVdc of isolation, the OPI7000 series optically coupled isolators consist of an infrared emitting diode coupled to an NPN silicon phototransistor or photo Darlington. The isolators feature an input-to-output isolation voltage of ±6 kV and a power dissipation rating of 100 mW. LED peak wavelength is 890 nm for the OPI7002 and OPI7010, and 890 nm or 935 nm for the OPI7320 and OPI7340. The OPI7002 and OPI7010 feature a current-transfer ratio of 20% and 100%, respectively, while the OPI7320 and OPI7340 with a photo-Darlington sensor specify 200% and 400%, respectively. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Pricing is $3.25 each/1,000. OPTEK TECHNOLOGY INC., Carrollton, TX. (972) 323-2200.
