Claiming to set a higher industry standard, the ISL28X90 and ISL28X91 families of single-supply, rail-to-rail output op amps are said to achieve noise-performance levels only attained with dual-supply devices, specified at 1 nV/vHz and 1.7 nV/vHz, respectively. They also claim the industry’s best THD+N at 0.00017% (ISL28X90) and 0.00018% (ISL28X91). Operating at 5V and below, the single-channel versions come in SOT23 packages, while the dual-channel amps are offered in 10-lead MSOPs. Single channel amps in 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm micro-TDFN packages and dual channel amps in the 1.8 mm x 1.4 mm micro-TDFN package are sampling now. Depending on the device and package, prices range from $1.32 to $2.61 each/1,000. INTERSIL CORP., Milpitas, CA. (888) 468-3774.
