The LMP7721 embarks as a precision amplifier with the industry’s lowest guaranteed input bias current at 20 fA at room temperature and over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. A member of the company’s PowerWise family, the device provides a gain bandwidth of 17 MHz while consuming 1.3 mA of current. It operates from a supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and comes in an eight-pin SOIC package with a special pinout that isolates the amplifier’s input from the power supply and output pins. Other features include an open-loop gain of 120 dB, input voltage noise of 6.5 nV/ÖHz, dc-offset voltage of ±150 mV maximum at 25°C, and a voltage temperature coefficient of 1.5 mV/°C. Price for the LMP7721 is $4.95 each/1,000. NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR CORP., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 272-9959.
