Heralded as the world’s smallest, fully self-protected low-side MOSFET, the ZXMS6004FF measures 2.3 mm x 2.8 mm in its SOT23F package. According to the company, the device requires 85% less board space than incumbent 7.3 mm x 6.7 mm SOT223

Heralded as the world’s smallest, fully self-protected low-side MOSFET, the ZXMS6004FF measures 2.3 mm x 2.8 mm in its SOT23F package. According to the company, the device requires 85% less board space than incumbent 7.3 mm x 6.7 mm SOT223 packages. The IntelliFET ZXMS6004FF protects both itself and the load and suits automotive and industrial applications. Integrating ESD, over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection, on-state resistance is 500 milliOhms, ensuring that power dissipation is at an absolute minimum, and continuous current handling is 1A. The device accepts direct drive from microcontroller outputs, meets the AECQ101 standard, tolerates 60V load-dump transients, and accepts a logic-level input of either 3.3V or 5V. Available now, pricing is $0.25 each/10,000. DIODES INC., Westlake Village, CA. (805) 446-4800.
