Op Amp Rated For Continuous Use Up To 175°C

Oct. 8, 2008
Cissoid's CMT-OPA quad op amp can handle temperatures reaching 175°C, and has a gain of over 90 dB.

A high-temperature general-purpose operational amplifier, the CMT-OPA handles a temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The quad op amp features a gain of over 90 dB and consumes only 575 µA per channel running on 20 V. The device can be powered by single or symmetric supply voltages ranging from 4.5 to 20 V. The CMT-OPA’s high temperature capability results from a latch-up free CMOS process as well as specific design and manufacturing techniques. The new amplifier extends the CMT line, which fills the temperature gap between conventional semiconductor components and the company’s CHT line (-55°C to 225°C). Already available are the CMT-555 timer and CMT-74XX logic family. The line’s high-temperature capability suits applications such as automotive, industrial, oil and gas, and aeronautical markets. The CMT-OPA is available immediately in a plastic SOIC16W package. Prices start at $27.00 for up to 400 units. CISSOID, Mont Saint Guibert, Belgium, CA. (800) 310-3050.
