APEC 2010 - The OptiMOS 25V MOSFET family is optimized for voltage regulation in power supplies for servers, telecommunications, and data communications switches and consists of MOSFETs integrated into the TDA21220 DrMOS devices that are compliant with the Intel DrMOS specification. Achieving 93% efficiency and with significant reductions in three critical figures of merit for efficiency, the devices reduce MOSFET power losses up to 20%. Additionally, they attain greater than 90% efficiency across an output current range of 30A to 180A using a 5V gate drive. Engineering samples of the 25V OptiMOS family and the TDA21220 DrMOS device are now available. Typical pricing, for a 1-mOhm 25V OptiMOS device in a SuperSO8 package (BSC010NE2LS) is about $1.40 each/2,000. INFINEON TECHNOLOGIES, Milpitas, CA. (866) 951-9519.
