The DS1874, an SFP+ controller with digital LDD interface, controls and monitors all functions for SFF, SFP, and SFP+ optical modules and supports the SFF-8472 standard. The combination of the DS1874 with a MAX3798 or MAX3799 laser driver/limiting amp provides a low-cost solution for APC-loop control, modulation-current control, and eye-safety functionality.
