Stereo ADC Trims Pin Count
Offering high-quality audio performance in recordable media apps, the WM8783 low-power stereo ADC touts an ultra-low pin count, perhaps the lowest available. Operating from a 3.3V supply, the device requires just two decoupling caps. It employs a multi-bit sigma delta architecture to achieve a 95-dB SNR, -83-dB THD, and support sample rates from 8 kHz to 96 kHz. The WM8783 accepts analog inputs up to 1 Vrms and integrates a high-pass filter to remove dc offset and suppress low-frequency noise. Available in a SOIC-8 package, price is $0.48 each/1,000.
