WM9090 and the WM9010 audio amplifiers come in CSP packages requiring minimal external components

Claiming extremely low power consumption due to highly-efficient headphone and speaker drivers, the WM9090 and the WM9010 audio amplifiers come in CSP packages requiring minimal external components. The WM9090 is an audio subsystem IC that features a mono Class D speaker driver, Class G cap-less headphone amp, AGC, and two pairs of differential analog inputs in a 20-ball 2.5 mm x 2 mm CSP package. Operating from a 3V supply, the speaker amp delivers 750 mW into an 8? speaker at less than 1% THD+N. Available in a 1.8 mm x 1.3 mm CSP e, the WM9010 Class G cap-less headphone amplifier operates from a single 1.8 V supply. Prices for the WM9090 and WM9010 are $0.50 and $0.35 each/10,000, respectively. WOLFSON MICROELECTRONICS PLC, San Diego, CA. (858) 676-5090.
