High-Speed Amp Slices Noise

May 26, 2010
LMH6629 high-speed amplifier specifies a noise figure of 0.69 nV/?Hz with a -3-dB bandwidth of 900 MHz at a gain of 10.

Reportedly the lowest in the industry, the LMH6629 high-speed amplifier specifies a noise figure of 0.69 nV/ÖHz with a -3-dB bandwidth of 900 MHz at a gain of 10. Input current noise is 2.6 pA/ÖHz and second and third harmonic distortion performance at f = 1 MHz is -90 dBc and -94 dBc, respectively. Other features include a maximum offset voltage of 780 mV at 25°C, an operating current of 15.5 mA, a supply voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V, user selectable internal compensation, CBiCMOS8 silicon-germanium complementary bipolar-CMOS process technology, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. Available in an eight-pin LLP, pricing is $1.88 each/1,000. NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR CORP., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 272-9959.
