RF Switches Jockey For 2.4-GHz Apps

Aug. 13, 2010
For Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other 2.4-GHz applications, the single-pole triple-throw uPG2413T6M and uPG2413T6Z RF switches are essentially the same but reside in different packages.

For Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other 2.4-GHz applications, the single-pole triple-throw uPG2413T6M and uPG2413T6Z RF switches are essentially the same but reside in different packages.  The T6M is footprint compatible to a prior generation while the T6Z is smaller at 1.5 mm x 1.5 mm.  Both measure 0.4 mm high. Specs include an operating frequency range from 0.5 to 3 GHz, a control voltage of 2.3V to 3.6V, an insertion loss of 0.35 dB at 1 GHz and 0.5 dB at 2.5 GHz, and an isolation of 26 dB at 1GHz and 18 dB at2.5 GHz. Prices for the uPG2413T6M and uPG2413T6Z are $0.49 and $0.39 each/100,000, respectively. CALIFORNIA EASTERN LABORATORIES, Santa Clara, CA. (408) 988-3500.
