Electronica 2010 – Expanding the company’s collection of automotive-grade AM/FM tuners, the Si475x AM/FM receiver family embarks as the industry’s most highly integrated car radio tuner IC family. The chips integrate an entire tuner from antenna input to audio output in a single CMOS IC. Residing in 32-pin, 5 mm x 5 mm QFN packages, they eliminate the need for several external components, reducing the car radio tuner bill of materials by up to 50% and reducing the external component count by up to 70%. Additionally, the Si475x tuner ICs support worldwide radio band requirements including AM, FM, FM radio data system (RDS), long wave (LW) and short wave (SW). Pricing begins at $8.18 each/10,000 and the Si4757LNA-A-EVB evaluation board is available for $450. SILICON LABORATORIES INC., Austin, TX. (877) 444-3032.
