Sporting a wide input common-mode voltage range from 0V to +60V, the MAX9611 and MAX9612 high-side, current-sense amplifiers (CSAs) target industrial, consumer, and automotive applications that require digitized current-sense data. Both integrate a 12-bit ADC and a gain block configurable as either an op amp or a comparator. They also integrate an I2C-controlled, 12-bit 500-sample/s ADC for reading the sense-resistor current, input common-mode voltage, op-amp/comparator output, op-amp/comparator reference voltage, and internal die temperature. Prices for the MAX9611 or MAX9612 start at $1.50 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
