Poised for extending battery life in portable medical applications, the MAX9636 through MAX9638 rail-to-rail, low-noise operational amplifiers operate from a 2.1V to 5.5V supply and consume a typical quiescent current of 36 μA. Available in six-pin SC70 (single), eight-pin SC70 (dual), and 10-pin UTQFN (dual) packages, the device specify a 38-nV/√Hz input-voltage noise density, 50-fA/√Hz input-current noise density, and a 0.1-pA input-bias current. The MAX9636 and MAX9638 also offer a low-power shutdown mode that reduces supply current to 1microamp. Prices start at $0.33 for the MAX9636, $0.50 for the MAX9637, and $0.60 for the MAX9638 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
