ADCs Deliver High SFDR Under Sampling

March 29, 2011
The LTC2152-14 single-channel and LTC2157-14 dual-channel simultaneous-sampling ADCs maintain good SFDR performance at input frequencies up to 900 MHz.

The LTC2152-14 single-channel and LTC2157-14 dual-channel simultaneous-sampling ADCs maintain good SFDR performance at input frequencies up to 900 MHz. Providing double data rate (DDR) LVDS digital outputs, the devices address communications systems where high under-sampling capability reduces costs by eliminating down-conversion stages. Operating from a 1.8V supply, the LTC2152/57-14 consumes 303 mW per channel at 250 Msamples/s with a SNR performance of 70 dB and SFDR of 90 dB at baseband with a 1.5-Vp-p input range. Pin-compatible speed grade options include 170 and 210 Msamples/s in 14- and 12-bit resolutions. Price for the 14-bit dual 250 Msamples/s LTC2157-14 is $131.57 each/1,000.
