40A DrMOS Package Enables Better Than 93 % Efficiency

A highly integrated solution, the SiC779CD DrMOS solution packs PWM-optimized high-side and low-side n-channel MOSFETs, a MOSFET driver, and a bootstrap diode into a 40-pin, 6 mm x 6 mm PowerPAK MLP. It is compliant with the DrMOS 4.0 specification for voltage regulators and enables operating frequencies in excess of 1 MHz and an efficiency greater than 93%. The device's 5V PWM input is compatible with all controllers and supports controllers with a tri-state PWM output function.
