High-Performance ADCs Dissipate Little Power

Part of a family of 14-bit, 80-, 105-, and 125-Msamples/s octal µModule ADCs, the LTM9011-14 octal 14-bit, 125 Msample/s ADC specifies a 73.1-dB SNR, an 88-dB SFDR at baseband, and dissipates just 140 mW per channel.

The 80-Msample/s LTM9009-14 and 105-Msample/s LTM9010-14 consume 94 mW per channel and 113mW per channel, respectively. Operating from 1.8V analog and digital supplies, the LTM9011 family includes a sleep mode that reduces power dissipation to just 2mW. LINEAR TECHNOLOGY CORP., Milpitas, CA. (800) 454-6327.
