The RF6650, a pulse-width modulated (PWM), voltage-mode controlled dc/dc converter, supplies power to W-CDMA power amplifiers. Supplying up to 650 mA in PWM-controlled or bypass modes, its output voltage is continuously programmable through a VSET analog input pin. Other features include an efficiency greater than 95% a transient response of less than 25 ms, 650-mA load current capability, programmable output voltage, and a bypass FET.
