SPST Structure Brings Switching Independence, Flexibility To Analog Switches

Dec. 13, 2013
The HV2802 and HV2902 high-voltage, 32-channel analog switches developed by Supertex feature a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) configuration for switching independence and flexible connections.

The HV2802 and HV2902 high-voltage, 32-channel analog switches developed by Supertex feature a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) configuration for switching independence and flexible connections. A combination of high-voltage bilateral DMOS switches and low-power CMOS logic produces efficient control of high-voltage analog signals. The HV2902 specifically integrates bleed resistors to discharge residual dc voltages and reduce erroneous signals. Both devices can be used with multiple combinations of high-voltage supplies (VPP/VNN) to accommodate different operating modes in, say, medical ultrasound imaging (e.g., +40 V/−160 V, +100 V/−100 V, or +160 V/−40 V). The switches will find homes in applications that require high-voltage switching controlled by low-voltage control signals, such as diagnostic ultrasound imaging, non-destructive metal flaw detection, inkjet printer heads, piezoelectric transducer drivers, and optical MEMS modules.
