Multi-Profile Platform Brings Always-On Cellular Connectivity to Mission-Critical Apps
What you'll learn:
- Insight into Telit Cinterion's NExT eSIM connectivity solution.
- How the platform differs from dual-SIM systems.
Telit Cinterion’s NExT eSIM multi-profile solution is a next-gen technology designed to deliver always-on global cellular connectivity for mission-critical IoT applications. The platform relies on the latest GSMA SGP.22 and SGP.32 eSIM standards, combining multiple redundant connectivity profiles (NExT eProfiles) into a single SIM. As a result, it provides automatic switching between networks for uninterrupted service, suiting it for applications that include remote patient monitoring, first responders, cargo tracking, alarm systems, and more.
Unlike typical dual-SIM systems that can be expensive and complex, the NExT eSIM platform eliminates the need for multiple SIM cards or constant signal monitoring, reducing deployment complexity and associated costs. It also allows for remote SIM provisioning and supports over 600 carriers across 200+ countries, offering geo-redundant connectivity without being restricted to certain vendors.
What's more, users can select pre-defined SIM configurations with redundant profiles (NExT eProfiles) or use remote eSIM provisioning technology to integrate their own backup connectivity agreements.
"Our NExT eSIM multi-profile solution, built on the latest GSMA SGP.22/.32 eSIM standards, redefines connectivity for mission-critical applications," said Jose Sanchez, Sr. Director of Product Management at Telit. "By combining this technology with our rich NExT eProfiles and remote management platform, we're delivering redundancy that provides outage protection, single-SKU efficiency, and the freedom from carrier coverage limitations in global deployments."
