Amphenol extends its range by proposing a plastic version USB called USBAP for industrial markets. Both robust and economical, this new range of products is specially adapted for applications for access points on telecoms equipment, video controls, robotics, and industrial process automations among others.

The solution is complete and the range is available in encapsulated rugged USB wires, as well as receptacles integrating an automatic cap (which automatically protects the receptacle when the plug is unmated) and waterproof USB Memory key with a capacity of 2 to 8 GB.

This new series offers optimal protection for use in severe environments. It is IP67 rated (1hr under 1m water). In mated condition, the plug is connected to the receptacle or in USB Memory Key versions. In the unmated mode, when the receptacle is fitted to its self-closing cap, the protection is IP54 (dust and water). The temperature range is from - 40°C to + 85°C.
