Schurter announces the new 1681 series with and IEC style C22 appliance inlet for hot conditions up to 155°C .

The 1681 series IEC style C22 appliance inlet from Schurter is suited for hot conditions up to 155°C . With the addition of the new C22 high temperature inlet, Schurter offers the full range of rated currents, maximum pin temperatures and protection class covered in IEC 60320.

The 1681 appliance inlet is ENEC approved for 16 A at 250 VAC and cCSAus approved for 21A at 250 VAC. It has a maximum pin temperature of 155°C and operating temperature range of -25°C to 155°C. It is available in snap-in and screw-on mounting with solder, quick-connect or screw terminals.

The C22 connector is ideal for use in devices that work with high currents and /or increased ambient temperature such as IT environments, telecommunication equipment or heating appliances. Additionally, the 1681 inlet meets the requirements of IEC 60335-1 for household appliances in unattended operation with higher requirements of glow wire test according to IEC 60695-2 11-13.

Pricing for the 1681 starts at about $2.52 each for 100 pieces.
