Surge Protection Modules Meet OEM Needs

May 20, 2013

Zero Surge Inc. introduces a series of safe and effective surge protection modules uniquely engineered for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications.  The OEM open chassis modules integrate patented endurance technologies to deliver exceptional performance and unparalleled surge and noise protection over a wide voltage range.  Modules can be specified in open frame and DIN rail mounts in 5, 8, 15, and 20 amps and all are certified to UL standards and for failure-free service, even during worst-case surges.

The OEM modules benefit from patented filter technologies enabling superior performance.  Spectrum WVR® Wide Voltage Range technology effectively senses and suppresses power line surges over a voltage range of 85-175V to filter dangerous surge energy and minimize let-through voltage, while Total Surge Cancellation (TSC®) technology incorporates WVR and adds value by canceling residual surge for zero let-through energy.  The modules inherently remove EMI/RFI noise interference from power lines that otherwise could disrupt signals and degrade equipment over time and are uniquely compatible with switch mode power supply voltage ranges.

These modules notably differ from conventional surge protection alternatives by eliminating the MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors) that divert surges and historically result in limited service life, poor filtering, excessive let-through energy, and safety ground wire contamination.

Zero Surge products ultimately are designed for applications where improved Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) is desired and degraded performance, intermittent problems, damaged equipment, and fires are not options.  All units are made in the USA and covered by an industry-leading 10-year warranty.  Custom solutions can be engineered to meet particular requirements.
