The new PBV Series wire-to-board, crimp style disconnectable connectors introduced by JST Corp. provide optimum performance even in high-vibration conditions.

The new PBV Series wire-to-board, crimp style disconnectable connectors introduced by JST Corp. provide optimum performance in high-vibration conditions. These SMT connectors are available in both side and top entry configurations. They incorporate both polarization and a secure locking feature designed to prevent contact stubbing and back-out when mated making them ideal for consumer, commercial and industrial applications where vibration might occur. The positive locking system is designed to fit inside the envelope of the header making it possible to stack the headers close together and still be able to release the positive lock. A compact, low profile connector, the PBV Series has a 2.0 mm (.079") pitch.

The disconnectable, crimp style PBV Series connector is available in 2 to 15 circuit sizes rated 3A AC/DC (using 22 AWG) at 100 V AC/DC. Wire sizes AWG #28 to #22 are accommodated. Temperature range is -25°C to +85°C including temperature rise when applying an electrical current. The SMT headers are molded in a RoHS compliant 94V-0 polyamide resin. Socket housing is PA 66, UL94V-0 rated nylon. Contacts are phosphor bronze, tin-plated. Mating shrouded headers for top and side entry provide sufficient flat surface for vacuum gripping equipment. Contacts are offered on standard size reels for semi-automatic or fully automatic application tooling while mini-reels are offered for mini-reel hand tools. SMT headers are provided on embossed tape for automatic insertion equipment
