Based on a resistive-film potentiometric sensor technology, these modules combine both a torque sensor and position sensor and are earmarked for the first all-electric power steering system. The modules are designed to detect the angular position of the driver's steering wheel and activates the electronic and motor assemblies that provide steering assistance. The modules operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C and are enclosed in a proprietary thermoplastic housing.
