Comm Module Has Four Digital Input Points

Sept. 1, 2000

A flexible communication interface between the DeviceNet network and any SCANport product is provided with the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 2100-GK61 module for DeviceNet communications. Suited for integrating communication within motor control centers, the module features four digital inputs for monitoring disconnect auxiliary contacts, Hand-Off-Auto switches and motor starter contacts via DeviceNet to increase diagnostic and monitoring applications. The module is panel-mounted and connects to the SCANport product via a SCANport cable. Digital inputs can be 230 or 115 Vac or 24 Vdc. Voltage levels are easily set with a DIP switch and the module can be flash upgraded for quick and easy field updates if the adapter's firmware changes. For advanced drives communication, the peer I/O capabilities let the adjustable frequency drive's I/O be both broadcast to and received from other drives connected via Allen-Bradley 1203-GU6, 1336-GM6 or 2100-GK61 adapters. A module status LED helps to diagnose network, module and SCANport product health.
