Claiming ground as the industry's most flexible touch screen controllers for products from mobile handsets to white goods, the CY8C20x34, CY8C21x34, and CY8C24x94 families employ PSoC CapSense technology to support projected capacitance and surface capacitance technologies across a broad range of screen sizes and types. The devices exploit a PSoC mixed-signal array architecture, said to deliver high-accuracy touch screen performance. The PSoC CapSense devices also allow designers to implement multiple additional functions beyond touch screens, i.e., capacitive buttons and sliders, and the mixed signal array supports functions such as driving LEDs, backlight control, motor control, power management, I/O expansion, accelerometers, and ambient-light sensors. All device families are supported via the PSoC Designer integrated development environment. CYPRESS SEMICONDUCTOR CORP., San Jose, CA. (800) 541-4736.
